What is the AES Indiana EV Managed Charging Program?

EV Managed Charging is a program that rewards you for occasionally reducing your EV charging during hours when energy demand is extra-high.

During hours when lots of people are using energy at once, it can become inefficient and expensive to get energy to everyone who needs it. So, on occasional days when we’re expecting extra-high energy demand, we’ll schedule Peak Demand Hours. Your JuiceBox's charging will pause during these hours, but you can still create settings to ensure you get a charge by a particular time.

By taking part in the program, you help us avoid turning to less clean and affordable energy sources when electricity demand gets high. You also get rewarded for taking part — you’ll get a $250 Prepaid Mastercard as an enrollment bonus when you sign up with your JuiceBox charger, or get $250 off a new JuiceBox from the AES Indiana Marketplace. Plus you’ll receive another $25 Virtual Prepaid Mastercard at the end of each program season you participate (the program runs two seasons per year).
